Welcome to the Amity Library!

Meet Your Librarian!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be part of the Amity Elementary community. My journey in education began in the classroom as a teacher, but my passion for storytelling and discovery eventually led me to my favorite place in the school—the library! When I’m not helping students find their next favorite book, I’m usually busy being a mom to three amazing kids. As a family, we have a huge love for the outdoors, whether we’re exploring local trails or just enjoying some fresh air. Of course, no matter where I am, I usually have a book nearby!

I can’t wait to share my love for reading with all of you and help our students grow into lifelong explorers of information and imagination. See you in the library!

As a 3rd-year librarian, I believe the library should be the heartbeat of the school. My approach blends traditional literacy with modern STEM exploration and social-emotional learning. From interactive read-alouds to hands-on building projects, I am dedicated to fostering a space that is not only inclusive and welcoming but also challenges students to collaborate, create, and think critically every single day.

Our Vision

Every student a reader; every learner an explorer. We envision a district where every student builds a unique reading identity and possesses the critical thinking skills to navigate a changing world with confidence and curiosity.

Our Mission

The Library Services program provides an adaptive "in-between" space where students connect classroom learning to personal passion. We foster a lifelong love of literacy and provide a safe, supportive environment for students to explore, fail, try again, and grow.

Our Values

Belonging: We are a sanctuary for all students, reflecting their interests and welcoming their authentic selves. Agency: we empower students to take ownership of their learning and develop their own voice. Agility: We adapt our programs and spaces to meet the evolving needs of our schools and community. Integration: We bridge the gaps between content areas, making learning cohesive and relevant.
